Taxi Transfers To and From Chicago Midway Airport

Before exiting the Baggage Claim area at Chicago Midway Airport, please remember to collect your entire luggage.

Taxis from Midway International Airport

The taxi ranks are located on the lower level on the curb front of the terminal’s concourses and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Taxis should not be accepted from drivers outside the taxi stand or in the departure area of the terminal roadways as you cannot ensure that those drivers are licensed.

Fares are calculated using a taximeter based on time and mileage and all taxis should have a working meter.

An average fare from Midway International Airport to downtown Chicago is around $35-40, but will vary as the fares are dependent on traffic conditions. The time for the journey will of course also vary depending on traffic, but the average time is around 30 minutes.

It is also possible to opt for a shared taxi ride at a flat rate to certain destinations, if multiple parties are available for the journey.

• McCormick Place - $18 per person
• O’Hare International Airport - $35 per person

Limousines

If a pickup with a limousine has been pre-arranged you should call the service once you have collected your luggage. You will be provided with a license plate number, a description of the car and/or a door number where the driver will meet you. It may take 3-10 minutes for the vehicle to arrive at the designated pickup location.

If it has been arranged that the driver will meet the arriving passenger in a pre-designated pickup location in the Baggage Claim area the driver will assist with luggage when taking the passenger to the vehicle, which typically requires a 5-7 minute walk.

Rideshare

The loading zone for rideshare services is located on the Lower Level outside of the Baggage Claim, Door 4. These services are pre-arranged through mobile phone applications or digital platforms.
